In September 2015, André Laperrière became Executive Director of the Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition (GODAN) network whose mission is to encourage the sharing of open data on agriculture and food, and contribute to solving global challenges such as food security. Prior to this position, Laperrière was Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Global Environment Facility (GEF) in Washington DC, U.S. Throughout his career, he has managed a variety of projects on behalf of organizations such as the UN and the World Bank. He played a senior role in the design and implementation of major reforms within a number of agencies including the International Criminal Court (ICC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF. Laperrière has MBA in Management and Information Systems as well as MA in Industrial Relations from Laval University, Canada.
