Stuart Agnew is the UK Independence Party (UKIP) MEP representing the East of England. Agnew is a member of the European Parliament’s Agriculture & Rural Development Committee. He is also UKIP’s Agriculture Spokesman. He was elected to the European Parliament in June 2009 and was re-elected in 2014. Outside of UKIP, Agnew is a member of the National Farmers Union and served as their Norfolk County Chairman in 1998. He is a farmer and lives in Norfolk. He farms near Fakenham, Norfolk, where he has 35,000free-range layers, 500 ewes and 400 acres of arable land. Since being elected to the European Parliament, he has handed over much of the management of his farm to family members and outside consultants.
