Rudolf Moegele

Deputy Director General, Directorate General Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRI), European Commission

Rudolf Mogele is the Deputy Director-General at the Directorate General Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Commission in charge of Directorates dealing with “Audit of agricultural expenditure”, a position he has held since 2011. Previously, Moegele was Director in charge of relations with other institutions, communication and documentation and agricultural legislation the Directorate General Agriculture and Rural Development from 2007 to 2011, Head of Unit for Agricultural law, simplification from 2005 to 2006, Head of Unit for cereals, oilseeds and protein crops, management of food aid from 2000 to 2004, as well as the Coordinator of the Task force on the implementation of CAP reform from 2003 to 2004. Additionally, Moegele has served in the Ministry of the Interior of Bavaria, and taught at University of Augsburg Faculty of Law. He holds a doctorate in Law from the University of Augsburg.
