Sabine Jülicher

Dr Sabine Jülicher is Director for food and feed safety, innovation in the Directorate General for Health and Food Safety at the European Commission since 2015. She is responsible for policies related to a range of issues including food information and composition, food waste, food processing technologies, novel food and pesticides. Prior to this position, Jülicher was Head of Unit responsible for policy matters pertaining to the authorization and monitoring of medicines at the European Medicines Agency. She holds a veterinary degree from the Frei Universität Berlin, Germany, as well as a postgraduate qualification in food hygiene.
