Alexandra Geese is a Member of the European Parliament with the Greens/EFA group. She has been elected in 2019 and now serves as a full member of the Committees for Internal Market and Consumer Protection and the Budget committee. Her political focus is on digital policy, fundamental rights and gender budgeting. As we move towards a digital future, Geese wants to ensure that no one is left behind – therefore, she believes that as many different social groups as possible should be involved in the development and deployment of artificial intelligence and automated decisions, and in designing the rules that should govern them. Alongside artificial intelligence, another key project for her in this parliamentary term will be the regulation of online platforms, via the Digital Services Act. She works to make sure that the upcoming reform will, for the first time, enshrine in law the rights of users of the major online platforms.
