Jacques Bughin is director of the McKinsey Global Institute, the business and economics research arm of McKinsey & Company, and one of its three global leaders. He leads research on global economic and technology trends in multiple research areas including the future of Europe, disruptive technologies, data and analytics, the future of work and new sources of employment and productivity. As a senior partner at McKinsey he focuses mostly on the high-tech, telecom and media industries. He is also a Fellow of ECARES, Free University of Brussels and of the University of Leuven, and he is the co-author of multiple books, including Managing Media Companies (Wiley & Sons). He has published in business and management reviews including Sloan Management Review and Harvard Business Review and has been quoted by The Economist, Forbes and Newsweek among others. He has published about 50 articles in international academic reviews and in journals such as the European Economic Review, Management Science, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Research Policy and Journal of Big Data.
