Ambassador Adrian Vierița

Permanent Representative of Romania to the United Nations Offices in Geneva

Ambassador Adrian Vierița is the Permanent Representative of Romania to the United Nations Offices in Geneva. Previously, Ambassador Vierița was the Head of the United Nations Department in the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior to that, he was Ambassador of Romania to the United States of American from 2008 to 2013 and Ambassador of Romania to the Federal Republic of Germany from 2002 to 2006. Ambassador Vierița has served in various diplomatic positions abroad and held executive positions in the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, program post-academic studies in International Affairs and European integration, and holds a Ph.D. in economic studies from the Academy of Economic Studies of Bucharest.
