José Inácio Faria MEP

Member on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee, European Parliament

José Inácio Faria is a Portuguese Partido da Terra MEP and member of the European People’s Party. He was elected to the European Parliament in 2014 and sits on several committees, including the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety. He is a member of the MEP Interest Group “European Patients’ Rights and Cross-Border Healthcare.” Before his election to the European Parliament, Faria provided legal and political support to the Partido da Terra at the Lisbon Municipal Assembly. From 2009 to 2011, he served as Secretary General of the Partido da Terra and from 2007 to 2009, he was Chair of the National Jurisdiction Council of the Partido da Terra. Faria is a lawyer and graduated from the University of Cáceres.
