Violeta Bulc is the European Commissioner for Transport, a post she has held since November 2014. Before that, she was Deputy Prime Minister of Slovenia, as well as chief of the program committee of the SMC party in Slovenia. From 2013 to 2014, she was owner and CEO of Vibacom. Prior to that she was vice-president of Telemach Ltd, a telecommunications company from 2000 to 2014. Additionally, Bulc worked at Telekom Slovenia, the country’s telecoms operator from 1997 to 2000. She has a Master’s in Information Technology from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and a degree in Computer Science and Informatics from the University of Slovenia.
