The first edition of the Global Public Affairs Forum surpassed our expectations, thanks to insightful presentations, thought-provoking questions and engaging conversations among the more than 60 public affairs professionals from more than 17 countries that made it to Paris on 28 September 2018.

THE FIRST GLOBAL PUBLIC AFFAIRS FORUM
The first Global Public Affairs Forum held in Paris on 28 September 2018 brought heads of public affairs together for a peer-learning experience to rethink the world’s major geopolitical reset.
In the context of a highly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) global business environment, the forum addressed ways to rethink and prepare strategic approaches for cross-sectorial challenges facing public affairs professionals.
This cross-sectorial approach facilitated the benchmarking of best practices to help organizations anticipate, navigate and shape its external environment at national, European and international levels.
Key questions were answered on influence strategies across multiple stakeholders in different sectors. Notably in regards to the Post-Brexit context in which the Paris-Brussels-Berlin axis attempts to drive the EU agenda ahead of the 2019 EU elections.
Participants were able to discuss lobbying approaches, review the latest advocacy methodologies in the digital era and share best practices on how to measure your department’s contribution to business. Inspirational keynote speeches, thought-provoking debates, and unique networking opportunities were also key components that attendees of this international forum got to enjoy.
