Between May 23-26, 2019, European citizens will elect the next European Parliament. The U.K. will take part in the European election, but if a Brexit deal is agreed in time, British MEPs may not take their seats in the new Parliament. The forecasts show the two biggest groups — the EPP and S&D — are likely to lose their majority. Italian leader Matteo Salvini’s Euroskeptic alliance (ex-ENF) and the liberal ALDE are projected to see the biggest increase in their number of seats.
