Martin Nolan is Senior Director of Legal & Public and Regulatory Affairs at traveltech business, Skyscanner. He joined Skyscanner in 2017 following his role as General Counsel of a fin-tech focused cyber security business.
Within Skyscanner, Martin and his team devise Skyscanner’s Public and Regulatory Affairs strategy, and he advises on matters of policy and regulation and their potential impact on disruptive technology businesses, the platform economy and the travel industry.
Engagement with key stakeholders in London, Brussels and Washington are a key part of their public affairs strategy, in order to help shape existing and new regulatory matters, focused on aviation distribution issues and problems/initiatives affecting technology platform businesses more generally. Martin is on the board of The Travel Technology Association in Washington, as well as the Brussels based EU Travel Tech, both leading travel industry trade bodies.
In addition to Public and Regulatory Affairs functions, Martin also advises on the interaction of regulation with consumer-facing products, as well as a range of other legal matters affecting Skyscanner. He also provides legal support to start up businesses housed in local technology incubators.
