UNESDA Soft Drinks Europe represents the European soft drinks industry.  Its members comprise both soft drinks companies and national associations from across the EU.  They produce drinks including squashes, still drinks, carbonates, powders, iced teas, iced coffees, syrups, energy drinks and sports drinks.  There are 424 soft drinks production sites across Europe and the industry supports 1.7 million jobs throughout its value chain.

UNESDA is committed to driving circularity through the collection, recycling and reuse of packaging and its members have been instrumental in setting up and running packaging collection schemes across Europe over the past decade.  The sector has pledged that by 2025 all of its plastic packaging will be 100% recyclable and contain at least 25% recycled content. Beverage containers are currently Europe’s most recycled item and the soft drinks industry is working in partnership with policymakers, economic players and citizens in supporting Europe’s transition towards a more circular future.
