Clare Hutchinson is the Secretary General’s Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security at the North Atlantic Treat Alliance (NATO), a position she has held since January 2018.
Previously, Hutchinson worked as a Senior Gender Adviser at the United Nations from 2008 to 2017, where she set the strategic development of Women Peace and Security for the United Nations (UN) Department of Peacekeeping in New York. Hutchinson also directed the operationalization Kosovo and Lebanon.
Prior to joining the UN, she used to work in the fields of broadcasting and public relations. She has MA in International Relations and MSc in Research from Newcastle University.
