Josephine Reynolds

First full-time female firefighter in the U.K.

Josephine Reynolds was one of the first female firefighter in Britain, Reynolds joined Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service at 17 in 1982. at Reynolds published her memoir “Fire Woman” in 2017. After leaving the fire service, Reynolds relocated to Cambodia to help a local NGO. She spent a month in the Philippines writing articles, and during the Nepal’s earthquake in 2015 she was commissioned to write for UN Women. She moved to the island of Koh Samui in 2006, where she created a Women’s Business Network. In 2000 she founded the Silk Road Design Co in China.
