Margot James was appointed Minister of State for the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport in January 2018. She was previously Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy from July 2016 to January 2018 and was elected Conservative MP for Stourbridge in May 2010. In addition, James was Parliamentary Private Secretary to Lord Green during his period as Minister for Trade and Investment. She also served as a local councilor in Kensington and Chelsea from 2006 to 2008.
